Invitation to a talk by Max Tardu on the Convention Against Torture and the Optional Protocol to the Convention

The Public Interest Advocacy Centre and Amnesty International invite you to:
A talk by Maxime Tardu on combating torture through the United Nations, with reference to European and Inter-American regional mechanisms.
Our guest speaker is Mr Maxime Tardu whose achievements during his career at the Office of the High Commissioner for Human Rights, General Secretariat of the United Nations include the preparatory work for major human rights treaties and declarations, especially the Convention against Torture, as Director of the Research and Treaties Branch.
Since retirement Mr Tardu has undertaken United Nations and UNESCO consultancies and has been an NGO representative at the United Nations.
